Reviews: We have, as Christians, a treasure trove of nuggets that we can mine from Scripture, the Holy Bible. Yet most Christians will get their fill on Sundays, listening to the preacher, but not take the words spoken and check them out by the Bible, and we MUST do that else we end up with church that is anything but a church, a gathering like the atheists gather to discuss ways of taking down Christians!
Like Indiana Jones in his resolute striving to "get the gold," we should be like that, studying the Scriptures daily -- and I do mean DAILY -- to see the mounds of diamonds that are there.
Most people, whether outside or inside the church will say "you spend a lot of the time with this Bible in hand," and almost berate you for that. Some may say that you are spending too much time with the Bible and not enough with them. Even some might argue certain points in Scripture that you don't know the answer too. Or you find yourself almost alone, so you turn on the TV, or read a book, or cook a favorite meal, and each time you come across the Bible laying on a desk or night stand and think "maybe you should be doing your Bible-reading, you instantly put it out of your mind and fix your attention to something else.
Indiana (Indy) Jones battles with the same kind of people, those thugs that would stop at nothing to get you relaxed enough to where you forget. That, my friend, is killing your time before the Lord!
Now as to the film proper, I do find it interesting to have the Nazi's as the main protagenous (sp). The Jews, as you well know, by the Nazi's not well liked. The Arc of the Covenant contained, among other items (), the 10 Commandments. I find it interesting because the 10 Commandments are being erased from our memory by the United States Government!
