Reviews: Think of this film as a love story where you go through Dante’s Inferno to get to the conclusion! Quentin Tarantino, the screenwriter and direction is like Gustave Dores woodcarving, beheadings, spiders and man all rolled into one reprehensible image. One may not be enamored with such violent protrayals, but it is there, long ago in the forms of paintings, books, and now film.
I watched the film and all the documentaries on the making of that movie. Tarantino did a marvelous job of weaving true-to-like happenings in the 1850s, and the Spaghetti Western that, for instance Sergio Leone did (A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West and also America, starring Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Robert deNiro).
Watch it and be awed! |
