Reviews: Henry Morgan (Laird Cregar), an infamous pirate, becomes the Governor of Jamaica in 1674. Soon after his appointment, the governor declares that the age of the pirate is over. He asks for help from some of his former captains in getting rid of pirates in the Caribbean. However, not everyone agrees with the governor’s new ways of thinking, and one of his former partners, Captain Waring (Tyrone Power) kidnaps Lady Margaret Denby (Maureen O'Hara), the previous Governor’s daughter. Captain Waring joins up with pirate rebels and the fight is started in an attempt to unseat the newly appointed governor and his plans. |
