Reviews: Why, why why, when making a big-buget movie, everytime a soldier on any side thoughs both his hands in the air when he gets shot is beyond me! Almost everytime! The Stunt Coordinator should be fired, and so must the Director of this film! Sure, visually it is good, but the same town with the banner of Christmas Time hanging around, or the shot of the Nazi headquarters twice when you view the horizontal map—on and on it goes! Argh!
Still for almost 3 hours, it is a might good to watch, thus the Star Rating I give it. I like the tank battle sequences that occur throughout the film. True, some are not accurate, like in Telly Salvias’ tank, when the top turret blows up, yet there is only one dead, plus he call headquarters from the tank when the top is blown off!

——————————— In the winter of 1944, the Allied Armies stand ready to invade Germany at the coming of a New Year. To prevent this occurrence, Hitler orders an all out offensive to re-take French territory and capture the major port city of Antwerp. "The Battle of the Bulge" shows this conflict from the perspective of an American intelligence officer as well as from a German Panzer Commander. |
