Reviews: I ended up getting the Blu-ray of "Kiki's Delivery Service."
From the Bible, I don't follow the devices of witches which the Scripture has in its tome, as God would have me do.
However, I cannot help but get this film because it is so good and comes from the mind of Miyazaki, whom I really like as you can tell from my collection of anime.
True, good witches or bad witches are one and the same thing, all flowing out of a heart that is not there own, but belongs to him who has its end the destruction of Christ's Kingdom which is being built all over the world (most recently in Africa and China). The word "witches" tells me all, and I have researched it, not just from the Bible, but on the internet.
A lot of my church members have praise the film series "Harry Potter." I have watched a number of them, and the CGI work is quite amazing, but witches abound in those films, both good witches and bad. I cannot get on board with some of the church members. Yet used to I liked the TV series from the '60s "Bewitched,"and the recent film on that same name. Good treats I can take, but bad ones, as you, I cannot take.
Perhaps I can liken the tale of witches to the tale of Christ and Satan. Christ and His followers being the good witches, and Satan and his followers being the bad ones. Battling it out with Christ reigning supreme!
I thank God that with the Resurrection and Ascension of Christ, the king of the wicked world has received his death blow and, over time the Kingdom of Christ will reign supreme, bringing in peace and prosperity to everyone.
In time, even Kiki would submit to Christ and she can continue to do the good works that God wants to in this film.
